Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. A replenishment of the northeast monsoon is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, a band of clouds is covering the region and the northern part of the South China Sea. At 8 a.m., Severe Typhoon Kalmaegi was centred about 550 kilometres southeast of Da Nang. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 28 kilometres per hour towards the vicinity of central Vietnam. Weather forecast for today Mainly cloudy. Sunny intervals during the day with a maximum temperature of around 26 degrees. One or two light rain patches later. Moderate to fresh east to northeasterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground. Outlook : Cloudy tomorrow. Mainly fine with temperatures rising over the weekend. Windy and slightly cooler early to midweek next week.
