Weather Situation: At 3 a.m., Tropical Storm Mitag with maximum sustained winds of about 75 kilometres per hour near its centre was located at 21.3 degrees north, 116.4 degrees east. It is forecast to move northwest at about 18 kilometres per hour in the general direction of the coast of eastern Guangdong and intensify gradually. Area forecasts for the next 24 hours Hong Kong Adjacent Waters: East to northeast force 5 to 6, becoming north to northwest up to force 10 later. Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms. Moderate to rough seas, becoming high later. Nan'ao: South to southeast force 6 to 7, up to force 9 at first. Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms. Rough seas, high at first. Shanwei: Cyclonic force 7 to 8, becoming up to force 10. Frequent heavy squally showers and thunderstorms. Rough to very rough seas, becoming high.
