South China Coastal Waters

Warnings:
Strong winds in all areas.

Weather Situation:
The northeast monsoon is affecting the south China coastal
waters.

At 5 a.m., Tropical Depression Koto with maximum sustained
winds of about 45 kilometres per hour near its centre was
located at 14.1 degrees north, 111.4 degrees east. It is
forecast to move south slowly towards the vicinity of the
southern part of Vietnam and weaken gradually.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
East to northeast force 4 to 5, up to force 6 later.
A few rain patches.
Moderate seas, becoming rough later.

Nan'ao:
Northeast force 5 to 6, up to force 7 later.
Moderate to rough seas.

Shanwei, South of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao:
East to northeast force 4 to 5, occasionally force 6, up to
force 7 later.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for the following 48 hours 
East to northeasterly winds of force 6 to 7, becoming up to
force 8 in east.
