The Hong Kong Observatory publication, “Tide Tables for Hong Kong 2018”, is now on sale.

In the 2018 edition, new features include newly added maps of the trend of tidal current in Hong Kong waters during flood and ebb tides; highlighting of the daily highest and lowest predicted tide heights in red and blue; and shading of the monthly highest and lowest predicted heights in grey.

The bilingual publication, which also provides information on the phases of the moon, is a useful reference for engineers, shipping companies, wharf and container terminal operators, yachtsmen, and fishing and water sports enthusiasts. A survey form is also included for readers to provide feedback on the publication to the Hong Kong Observatory.
