Dr Laura Kong, Director of the International Tsunami Information Center of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, paid a visit to the Hong Kong Observatory on 27 October and discussed with Observatory personnel some of the latest developments in international tsunami early warning and mitigation.  Dr Kong visited the tsunami monitoring facilities of the Observatory.  She commended the Observatory for its solid and comprehensive work on tsunami.
