The Hong Kong Observatory always supports nurturing of young generation. We participated for the second time in a row in the meaningful project on “CLAP for Youth @ JC”. Some thirty secondary students and youths visited the Observatory in mid-April. Apart from visiting the Central Forecasting Office, TV Studio and meteorological facilities, they also attended a dialogue session with different grades of the Observatory's staff. The young participants showed much interest and active engagement. They greatly appreciated the sharing with the Observatory’s staff, which enhanced their understanding of the Observatory’s work and service culture, and most importantly, inspired them to set goals and plan for future career.
“CLAP for Youth @ JC” is Hong Kong’s first cross-sectional support platform that helps students and non-engaged youth plan their futures and develop their career roadmap.
