  • Mr Tsang Yok-sing visited Hong Kong Observatory

Mr Tsang Yok-sing visited the Hong Kong Observatory, including the History Room, the Central Forecasting Office and TV Studio on 16 January 2017. Mr Shun Chi-ming, Director of the Hong Kong Observatory, introduced to him the history of the Observatory and the latest development in various aspects including weather forecasting services, social media communication and TV weather services.

Mr Tsang delivered a talk to the colleagues of the Observatory on how to communicate with the public and the media, as well as respond to the needs of the public nowadays. He commended the Observatory for the excellent work in these respects.

Mr Tsang Yok-sing, former President of the Legislative Council, is now the Convenor of the Hong Kong Vision Research Programme and the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Policy Research Institute Limited.
