  • Observatory Staff received the Secretary for the Civil Service's Commendation

Mr Cheung For-kwong, Workman II, received the Secretary for the Civil Service's Commendation on 3 November 2016 for his long-standing meritorious performance over the years.

Mr Cheung is responsible for manual labour duties, and provides distinguished logistical support to the Observatory through his contribution to the works of the General Registry.

The Secretary for the Civil Service’s Commendation Award Scheme, first introduced in 2004, gives recognition to civil servants who consistently deliver outstanding performances. A total of 100 civil service colleagues received awards under the Scheme in 2016.
