  • Experts from CAAC met in Hong Kong to map out the future products and services of Asian Aviation Meteorological Centre

Under the tri-partite agreement between the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO), the Asian Aviation Meteorological Centre (AAMC) will start operation trial in 2018. As the backup centre of AAMC, HKO is now working closely with the other parties to work towards this goal. A team of experts from CAAC visited HKO during 4-7 July 2017 on the details of establishing the AAMC. During the fruitful meeting, a number of issues including data exchange channels and format, overall system architecture, as well as the scope of service provision were discussed and agreed.
