Introduction:



The HKO e-Bulletin on Educational Resources is published on-line every three months. It covers in layman terms various interesting topics related to weather phenomena and popular science, as well as the latest developments in science and technology related to the Observatory's service on meteorology, radiation and geophysics. We welcome your views and suggestions.

The content of this issue is rich with articles covering various topics including "Development of Meteorological Information System Using Geographic Information System Technology", "Why Is There More Rain in Tai Mo Shan?", "Simulating Atmosphere", "Why Do Tropical Cyclones Always Form More Than 5 Degrees of Latitude Away from the Equator?", "The Dwarfs Behind Numerical Weather Prediction" and "What Is the 'Location-based Rain Forecast'?"; etc. Selected Observatory's video clips and blog entries are also included.
