The Airport Meteorological Office provides flight documentation for all flights
departing Hong Kong International Airport. Flight documentation consists of:
- weather forecasts for departure, destination and alternate aerodromes,
- forecast charts of significant weather enroute, and
- forecast charts showing wind and temperature data appropriate to the cruising level of
the aircraft.
Airline operators and crew members can retrieve flight documents using aviation meteorological information dissemination system 3 hours before flight departure. If required, weather
briefings are provided via video conferencing facilities or telephone to flight crew
members prior to departure.
